Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
At SnapSend, accessible from https://snapsend.site, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by SnapSend and how we use it.
Zero Knowledge & No Logs Policy
SnapSend operates on a strict "Zero Knowledge" basis for file and text sharing content. We have designed our system so that:
- We do not log the contents of the files or text you share.
- We cannot decrypt the files or text you share (encryption happens on the client-side or in transit with strict key management).
- Files and data are permanently deleted from our servers once the expiration criteria (time or download count) are met.
We keep only aggregate, non-identifying usage counts (such as total page views and total shares created) to operate and improve the service. These counts are never linked to your identity or to the contents of any share.
Information We Collect
The only information we may collect is:
- Voluntary Correspondence: If you contact us directly, we may receive your name, email address, and the contents of the message. This is solely to respond to your inquiry.
- Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics (via Google Analytics) to understand site usage patterns (e.g., page views). This data is anonymized where possible.
Cookies and Web Beacons
Like most websites, SnapSend uses cookies. These include essential cookies that remember your preferences, privacy-focused analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate site usage, and — on pages where ads are shown — advertising cookies set by our advertising provider (see below). Cookies are never used to read, store, or associate the contents of the files, text, or secrets you share.
Advertising
SnapSend keeps its core tools free, supported in part by advertising on some pages. Where ads are shown, they are served by Google AdSense.
We run Google AdSense in non-personalized mode: ads are selected based on general context and coarse location, not on a behavioral profile built from your activity. Google and its partners may still use cookies (including the Google advertising cookie) for essential purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud and abuse prevention. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites.
You can review and control how Google uses advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, manage your ad preferences at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
Ads never have access to your shared content. The files, text, and secrets you send are encrypted and processed entirely separately from the advertising system. No advertiser can see, receive, or target you based on what you share through SnapSend.
GDPR Data Protection Rights
We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
- The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
- The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
Since we do not store user accounts or persistent data, "erasure" is effectively the default state of our service.
Children's Information
Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.
SnapSend does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13.
