Last updated: 1/16/2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to SnapSend (the "Service"), accessible at https://snapsend.site. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Service and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.
2. Information We Collect
The core philosophy of SnapSend is to collect as little information as possible.
- Content Data: The text and files you voluntarily upload. This data is encrypted and stored temporarily. It is NEVER accessed by our team. It is automatically and permanently deleted upon expiration or first view (depending on your settings).
- Usage Data: We may collect minimal (anonymized) usage data to prevent abuse, such as request limits per IP address. This data is rotated and discarded regularly.
- Cookies & Local Storage: We use cookies or local storage solely for the functional operation of the website (e.g., maintaining your user session state). We do not use cookies for tracking personal behavior across unassociated sites.
3. Third-Party Vendors and AdSense
We may use third-party vendors, including Google, to serve ads on our Service.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
4. Data Retention
SnapSend is an ephemeral service. Copied text and downloaded files are deleted from our servers immediately (Atomic Delete). If a link expires before being viewed, the associated data is automatically secured by a Time-To-Live (TTL) mechanism and purged from our database. We do not maintain backups of expired or deleted user content.
5. Security Measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. This includes:
- Encryption of data in transit via Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3).
- Ephemeral storage architecture that inherently limits data exposure window.
- Regular security audits of our infrastructure.
However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data (access, rectification, erasure). Since we do not associate uploaded content with personal identities and retain data only temporarily, "erasure" is effectively built-in to the product. If you believe we hold personal data about you that you wish to remove, please contact us.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
